B i o g r a p h y

Attieh is a solicitor in Camberley West & Frimley, and a strong local voice for the community in Surrey Heath who promotes individual freedom, access to justice, access to opportunity, protecting the environment, a strong economy, family values and high-quality education for all.

Attieh has helped victims of domestic abuse and other vulnerable members of society through her professional and voluntary work. She has defended women's and girl’s safety and has years of experience working with young adults as a charity volunteer.

She was born in Iran into a family that was politically and academically active. Her parents had studied economics in the UK before she was born. Her father was a well-known writer and lecturer in Economics albeit he suffered persecution and was banned from teaching and writing in Iran for several years. Attieh witnessed war, persecution and family separation in the early years of her life.

She then came to the UK as a teenager to study and excelled academically.

She now has more than 10 years of experience as a qualified solicitor. Having worked in Guildford and in Central London, Attieh set up her law firm in Camberley and thereafter set up a branch in Canary Wharf, London. Within 3 years, she won the Surrey Business Awards 2021 as a Community Hero for her dedication as a director and solicitor to community life and in subsequent years was nominated for other awards in the South East.

Attieh is the Refugee and Immigration Advisor to the Bishop of Guildford. She has campaigned for freedom of speech and belief at the international level by delivering speeches and written submissions to the UN Human Rights Council and at the national level through her legal profession and various campaigns.

Attieh's track record of delivery in Surrey Heath is evident; one of the initiatives which was her idea was the successful launch of Surrey Heath Prepared during the first Covid Pandemic lockdown. Surrey Heath Prepared recruited about 3000 volunteers and served the community by delivering about 9000 tasks.

Attieh’s other campaigns include a petition calling Surrey Heath Borough Council to reverse its parking strategy and give back the community one hour of free parking.  You can read more about her campaigns under the relevant section on this website. One of her committed campaign members is her 3 year old dog, Bella.

Attieh has a proven track record of delivery for her clients and her community and now wishes to be a strong voice for residents of Camberley West & Frimley at Surrey County Council.
